My Key Values:
Personal and interpersonal management are softer but essential skills required for effective and efficient costume activities. In roles as a theatre dresser and costume assistant I have developed extensive skills in working in various pressured and demanding costume environments.
Over a number of productions my peers and senior staff have acknowledged that I can be relied upon to be dedicated, cheerful, and driven.
I am always looking for ways to support those around me. Tenacity and readiness to enthusiastically invest in prolonged work hours are skills that I have developed, routinely demonstrate and are essential to a trainee position. Over the last three years I have demonstrated, across both film and theatre productions, that I am able to be constantly engaged and carry out responsibilities to the highest standard. I have demonstrated ability in actively listening to instructions and asking key questions as required.
Involvement in a number of different productions has developed my confidence in working independently and as part of a team. With growing experience of working across a number of productions and in various different situations and locations I have developed acute observational skills and an ability to anticipate problems. Having identified a potential problem I am able use my initiative to resolve potential costume challenges before they occur and enable the whole process to run smoothly and according to schedule.
